Construct Ireland - for a sustainable future Construct Ireland has been Ireland's green building magazine since first publishing in January 2003, and has grown in influence as climate change and energy security become ever more central isues. In 2008 Construct Ireland was a finalist in the Business to Business Magazine category of the PPA Irish Magazine Awards, and editor Jeff Colley was a finalist in the Green Leader category of the Green Awards. Construct Ireland has gradually built up a very strong reputation for publishing informed articles on the emerging issues concerned with sustainable building and renewable energy, and enjoys an independently verified readership that is unrivalled in terms of numbers, profile and enthusiasm. Not only has Construct Ireland had a tangible effect on the design and construction a large number of buildings in Ireland, it has been credited as playing a key role in changing energy standards under national Building Regulations. According to Minister for the Environment, John Gormley TD: "Without Construct Ireland's engagement in the ongoing transition in the building industry, it might not have been possible for me to bring in the new 40 per cent improvement in building standards."
